For Hunters Who Want a Challenge, A Single-Shot Rifle

These single-shot rifles are designed for hunters who like the challenge of hunting with just one cartridge on board, as well as those who love the simplicity of the design. Make no mistake: although some may believe a single-shot rifle to be an entry-level option, we make them to the same high standards as all of our great centerfire rifles, and they are not intended to be a cheap model in any way.

Nobody, even Henry Repeating Arms, can stop time. We’ve established our reputation and brand on America’s favorite line of lever actions, and that’s what most people think of when they hear our name. But, as you may have observed with the launch of the Long Ranger model for committed lever action hunters, we’ve believed for a long time that there’s more we could be doing in the long gun market, and we’re doing it!

The centerfire single-shot rifle has a long history among hunters searching for a reliable and accurate game-getter without having to pay more than required for decent quality and basic performance, and we’re continuing that tradition with our brand new range of break-action one-shooters for 2017.

These elegantly simple rifles feature 22″ round barrels, fully adjustable folding leaf rear sight and brass bead front sights we use on the lever actions, a drilled and tapped provision for optional scope use, walnut front and rear furniture, a curved pistol grip wrist and solid rubber recoil pad on the steel versions, a straight English wrist and brass buttplate on the brass versions, and a drilled and tapped provision for optional scope use on the brass versions. Steel calibers include.223, 243,.308,.357 Mag,.44 Mag,.30-30, and.45-70; brass calibers include.44 Mag,.357 Mag,.30-30, and.45-70.

To crack the barrel open on these modern rifles, a familiar locking mechanism on top of the frame, below the external hammer spur, is used. However, we’ve added our own twist here: to unlock, the lever may be turned left or right from its center position, making it suitable for both lefties and righties.

The action features a rebounding hammer that can’t contact the firing pin until the trigger is purposefully squeezed, and an interlock mechanism that prevents the barrel from opening if the hammer is cocked, or the barrel from closing if the hammer is cocked while the barrel is open. It’s easy to load and unload, and it’s safe to carry.
